Descendant of the Rześniowiecki Line, bearer of the Sas coat of arms
Rześniowiecki is a noble Polish family with many branches and a rich history. Rześniowiecki family name is listed in the classical genealogical and heraldic reference "Korona Polska/Herbarz Polski" (Crown of Poland/Polish Armorial) 1728-1846 authored by heraldist Kasper Niesiecki.
Taras comes from the line of the Rześniowiecki family of house Sas/Szasz who resided in Ternopil (Tarnopol) Voivodeship which was once part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. ​

The last male bearer of Sas coat of arms in this particular line was Leon Rześniowiecki h. Sas(1859-?) the son of Tytus Rześniowiecki, h. Sas (1810-1864) and Anna Rześniowiecka (Tuszynska), h. Sas (1820-1899). After Leon married Paulina Maria Rześniowiecka (Skowrońska) (1847-?), from noble house Skowroński, they moved to Krymidow, Stanislau, Galicia (Kremydiv, Ukraine now) and Paulina gave birth to their only daughter Helena Rześniowiecka, h. Sas (1889-1975), later known as Helena Wesna. Since then, female representatives of this line have carried the Sas coat of arms until the birth of the next male heir.

Helena Wesna (Rześniowiecka), h. Sas had three daughters Liubow Didukh, h. Sas (Wesna), Nusija Filevich, h. Sas (Wesna), and Zenovija Hulei, h. Sas (Wesna).
Liubow Wesna h. Sas married Iwan Didukh and they had three kids Vira Didukh, h. Sas (Taras' mother), Lidija Didukh, h. Sas, and Yurko Didukh, h. Sas.
Vira Didukh h. Sas married Liubomyr Nahorniak and they later had a son -
Taras Nahorniak, h. Sas.
Lidija Didukh, h. Sas married Petro Supyk and they have two kids Khrystyna and Rostyslaw.
Yurko Didukh, h.Sas married Tetiana.

Zenovija Hulei (Wesna), h. Sas married Pr. Osyp Hulei and they had one daughter Marta Legeckis, h. Sas (Hulei). Marta immigrated to the States and married Richard Legeckis, an oceanographer with the NOAA who studied phenomena ranging from waves to bottom topography, and they had two daughters Vanessa and Alina Legeckis, h.Sas. Marta has been practicing the art of calligraphy for over 30 years. She received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Fine Arts from the City College of New York. A resident of the Washington, D.C. area, Marta’s clients have included the White House, the State Department, the Vice-President's office, the Foundation for the Preservation of Art in Embassies (FAPE), the National Gallery, and various embassies (Smithsonian Associates).
